League: Portuguese Primeira Liga
Benfica – Santa Clara
Pick: Both teams to score

Another win for Benfica?

Benfica and Santa Clara meet on Monday at Estadio da Luz with the hosts hoping to pick up a win and maintain their place in the top three.

Benfica have been in great form, winning seven of their last eight games and their disappointing loss to Gil Vicente is the only negative in the past few weeks. The side are six points behind Porto in second place and automatic Champions League qualification looks unlikely but a win here would see them retain control of the playoff place.

Santa Clara have had a decent season but they don’t have much to play for now with the side sitting eight points off the European place with a top five finish looking really unlikely. They’ve struggled slightly in recent weeks, winning just three of their last 10 games and come into this game as underdogs.

Both teams have scored in all four of the fixtures between these two sides and we think this could be the case again here with Benfica conceding in each of their last two games. We’re backing both teams to score in this tie but with Benfica being the better side, we’re forecasting a 3-1 win for the home side.
