free soccer tips for today Derby vs Nottingham Forest
England Championship | Pride Park
Derby vs Nottingham Forest
Pick: Derby to Win
Odd: 2.10
free soccer tips for Derby vs Nottingham Forest

REASON Derby vs Nottingham Forest TIPS

The three point lead fourth placed Derby County hold over local rivals Nottingham Forest could be wiped out this weekend if the visitors can pull off a win in the East Midlands derby. Forest occupy seventh place heading into the match and will be hoping to finish the evening in the play-of positions, but that will also depend on Middlesbrough and West Brom’s results. This is the 93rd East Midlands derby and were expecting a competitive match between two clubs with dreams of a return to the Premier League this season.
Derby County dominated Wigan Athletic last weekend, but only ran out 1-0 winners against their hosts, who spent the majority of the match with ten-men. Wigan’s Naismith was shown a straight red card after just fifteen minutes of the match, which automatically asserted control of the game to Derby County. It took just six minutes for Derby to take advantage of the situation they found themselves in as Marriott scored what turned out to be the games winning goal. The visitors should have comfortably won this game on the balance of play as Derby had 62% of the possession, six corners to the hosts one, and eleven shots during the ninety minutes, but Wigan defended manfully and will wonder what could of been had they had eleven men on the pitch.
Forest seven game unbeaten streak in the Championship came to an end last time out when they played host to mid table Preston North End. Nottingham Forest controlled the match for the most part, having 61% of the overall possession, but poor finishing ended up costing the hosts dearly. The pair went in goalless at the break, but eleven minutes in the second half Preston took the lead through striker Moult with one of the five shots they managed during the ninety minutes. Forest through everything at their guests, but were let down in the final third by their finishing, as well as some last ditch defending and good goalkeeping by their opponents.
The last time these two clubs went head to head the game ended goalless and the main talking point was the sending-off of Tom Huddlestone for a second bookable offence in the eighty-first minute. Forest had 54% of the possession in their own backyard, but failed to land a single one of their six shots on target. Derby had nine attempts and will probably feel they should have won the game, but after Huddlestone’s sending-off will have been satisfied with a point.
Derby County head into Monday’s game as the form favourites with four wins and two defeats from their last six matches, but Forest have only lost one of their last six and should prove a tough nut to crack having kept four clean sheets during that period. Wilson top scores in the league for the hosts with seven goals so far, while teammate Marriott is just one behind on six. Grabban has been in fantastic form for the visitors and is already into double figures and will be keen to add to his fourteen Championship goals in Monday night’s local derby.
We’re confident that Derby County will win on Monday, and have backed the final scoreline to read 2-1. Derby are unbeaten in their last five matches against Forest, picking up three wins and two draws. The hosts are in fine form with four wins and two defeats from their last six, but Forest have scored more and conceded fewer goals than their hosts in the league this season.

free soccer tips for Southampton vs Arsenal

REASON Southampton vs Arsenal TIPS

New Southampton manager Ralph Hassenhuttl certainly has a job on his hands. The former RB Leipzig coach took charge of his first game at his new club last weekend as they paid a visit to fellow relegation battlers Cardiff, but despite the new hand at the tiller it was the same old Southampton in Wales.
They lost that game 1-0, following on from their 3-1 defeat at Spurs to make it 12 Premier League games without a win. That 2-0 win over Crystal Palace was their only league victory of the season, and with 9 defeats from their 16 games they find themselves down in 19th place and only ahead of Fulham on goal difference.
There doesn’t look to be much hope for them this weekend either, because they’re facing an Arsenal side who look reborn under Unai Emery this season. The Gunners lost their opening 2 league matches against Manchester City and Chelsea, but since then it’s been a blinding success.
Arsenal rounded off their Europa League group stage campaign with yet another win in midweek, and that 1-0 success over Qarabag extends their unbeaten run to an incredible 22 matches in all competitions. 14 of these have been in the Premier League, a record which has put them well in the running for a top 4 spot this season.
Currently, they lie just outside the top 4, trailing Chelsea on goal difference and behind North London rivals Tottenham by a 2 point margin. The Gunners may be rank outsiders for a title challenge this season, but it’s a massive step in the right direction for them.
The visitors have won 4 of their last 6 Premier League away games, and they’re facing a Saints side who are yet to win a home league game this season. In fact, Southampton have won just 1 of their last 18 Premier League matches at St Mary’s, and they have only won 2 of their last 17 Premier League meetings with Arsenal.
Arsenal have won 30 of their last 37 Premier League matches against sides who have started the day in the relegation zone, and with 10 wins from their last 14 league games we think they’re excellent value to get the win on Sunday. We’re backing that, along with a 3-1 correct score predictions.

free soccer tips for Manchester City vs Everton

REASON Manchester City vs Everton TIPS

Manchester City became the 19th team in the Premier League to lose their unbeaten record this season when they were beaten 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last weekend, and in a title race of such fine margins, it could prove a crucial defeat. Not only have the Citizens now lost the lead in the table, but that unexpected 3 points for Chelsea brings both them and Spurs back into the fray at the top of the table.
Still, it’s undeniable that Manchester City are still among the favourites to lift the trophy. They have won 13 of their 16 Premier League games so far, and despite having already won their Champions League group, they showed the winning spirit to come back from a goal behind against Hoffenheim in midweek.
One thing that has faltered a bit in recent times is the defensive stability of the hosts. Pep Guardiola’s men have kept just a single clean sheet in their last 6 Premier League games, and in just the last 3 games their total goals conceded tally has almost doubled.
This will be something that Everton will hope to take advantage of, and if they want to get anything from the game, it’s something they’ll absolutely need to take advantage of. They’re facing a Manchester City side who have failed to score in just 2 of their 25 competitive games this season, and they have found the net in all of their outings at the Etihad.
Everton aren’t too bad in front of goal either. Marco Silva’s side have scored in 13 of their 16 Premier League matches this season and have found the net in 6 of their last 7 matches against Manchester City. In fact, no other team have scored more Premier League goals against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side than Everton, who have put 7 past them in 4 meetings.
We’re expecting them to get another 1 on Saturday too. Manchester City’s defence has slipped of late and the fact that they have conceded in 5 out of 8 home league games this season makes backing Both Teams to Score look a good option. In the end the hosts should have enough firepower to get them the 3 points though, so we’re also backing a 3-1 win for Manchester City.
Raheem Sterling catches the eye in the anytime goalscorer market too. He has notched 8 league goals this season, and 6 of those have come in his 6 appearances at The Etihad. Sterling has found the net in 5 of his 6 Premier League home appearances this season, so we’re backing him to score here.

REASON Sheffield United vs West Bromwich Albion TIPS

Friday night brings a huge promotion clash, as West Brom head for Bramall Lane. The Baggies are searching for a third straight away win, as they look to make a push for a top-two finish. However, they’re off to Sheffield United – who are currently in third. These two are putting their play-off ambitions to the test this weekend, but will the visitors manage to come away with three crucial points in the fight to return to the Premier League? Or can the hosts record back to back wins?
The Blades won away at Reading last weekend, and they are hoping to step up against a top-six rival. The hosts just lost at home to Leeds United in their last match here, which allowed the gap at the top to widen. The top two are now five points clear of the Blades in third, and they’ve got a job on their hands to get back into the automatic promotion spots. Having led the way at one stage this season, Sheffield United have fallen off the pace, and it looks like a huge task for them to catch up.
West Brom are another side who led the way at one point this stage this season. They have also been favourites with the bookies this term, thanks to keeping plenty of Premier League talents from their dismal campaign last term. They’ve got one of the league’s most impressive attacks, but they’ve not been able to blend that with results, as they sit fifth in the Championship. The play-off spots are tightly packed, as there’s just a point between third and sixth.
Defensive concerns have plagued West Brom of late, conceding in their last 13 matches. They’ve failed to keep an away clean sheet this season, and we don’t expect that to change in this tough trip. The Baggies have been limited on their travels this season, with just 34% of their goals coming on the road, and only 42% of their points. They’ve won back to back trips against opponents lower down the table, but this clash is likely to be trickier.
Meanwhile, Sheffield United have lost just twice at home this season. However, they’ve won just once in their last four games at Bramall Lane. After claiming only two wins in six games overall, we’re backing the Blades to struggle in this one. The visitors have gone five games unbeaten, but they’ve drawn back to back outings, so we’re tipping another draw in this one.

Valencia’s 1-0 defeat at Juventus in the last round of Champions League games saw their hopes for progression in the competition die. They are now guaranteed the Europa League qualification that comes with 3rd place in the group, but the 5 points between them and 2nd place is an unbridgeable gap going into the final game of the group stages.
Truth be told, Los Murcielagos are having a dreadful season. Their apparent lack of winning spirit has left them in a disappointing 15th position in the La Liga table, and they are only 7 points clear of the drop zone currently. 9 of their 15 league games have ended as draws, and they have scored a meagre 12 goals in the league.
This lack of goalscoring ability has transferred into the Champions League too. Valencia have only scored 4 goals in their 5 group games so far, and their overly defensive strategy makes for entertainment on a par with watching paint dry.
At times, Manchester United haven’t been much better this season. They managed to put in an excellent performance as they hammered Fulham at the weekend, but all too often they have played a frustratingly slow style of attacking play. It may not bring results in the Premier League, but in the Champions League they have secured qualification to the knockout stages and still have a small shot at the top spot in Group H.
Jose Mourinho knows that it’s very unlikely that they can take Juventus’ spot at the top. They are 2 points behind them and the Italian champions face the winless Young Boys on Wednesday, so the chances are that we’ll see wholesale changes throughout the visiting team.
We’re expecting this to be a rather dour affair to be honest. Valencia have seen a total of 9 goals in their 5 Champions League group games, and all but one of them has seen fewer than 3 scored in total. Manchester United have seen just 8 goals in their games, and the history between the teams doesn’t make us more optimistic about the entertainment value.
The last 6 competitive meetings between Valencia and Manchester United have yielded just 5 goals in total, and with 18 of Valencia’s 22 competitive games this season ending with fewer than 3 goals scored we’re backing Under 2.5 Goals along with a 1-1 correct score predictions.

UEFA Champions League | Veltins-Arena
Schalke vs Lokomotiv Moscow
Pick: Schalke to Win
Odd: 2.10
free soccer tips for Schalke vs Lokomotiv Moscow

REASON Schalke vs Lokomotiv Moscow TIPS

Schalke have already made their way into the last 16, despite their torrid domestic form. The German side have secured second place behind Porto, and they have little to play for as the Champions League wraps up for a winter break. Lokomotiv Moscow have an outside chance of making the Europa League in 2019, but they would need an unlikely win on Tuesday night, something we struggle to see given the relative form of both sides.
Schalke have found some redemption in Europe this season. They’ve lost out on top spot to Porto, but their start in the Bundesliga made us doubt that they’d make the top two. Arguably the German side can thank a favourable draw for their progression, especially given that eight points has been enough to put them out of reach. The likes of Galatasaray and Lokomotiv Moscow have barely been in contention to qualify from this group, but will that lack of quality hand the Germans another three points here?
The visitors will need to win in this one and hope Galatasaray fail to win at home to Porto to go through. However, the visitors’ have an away record which doesn’t exactly inspire hope. They’ve claimed just three points from their five games so far, while domestically their title hopes are suffering. They sit fifth in the Russian Premier League, so it’s been far from a stellar season for Lokomotiv. They come here aiming to secure a future in Europe this term, but Schalke are going to be a tough test for the visitors.
Given how the hosts have enjoyed their European campaign, we don’t expect them to take this one lightly. They come into the clash aiming to secure another victory in the Champions League before the campaign is out. The hosts have won three of their last four home games, only going down to Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund.
Meanwhile, the visitors have lost five of their last six games in this competition. They’ve failed to win 11 away trips in the Champions League, losing eight of those. They were beaten by a three goal margin in their last two trips in this group. We fully expect the hosts to add to that run. Schalke have won five of their seven previous games on MD6 of the Champions League, more than they have on any other matchday in the competition. We see them extending their impressive final day record, as we’re backing them for three points here.

free soccer tips for Everton vs Watford

REASON Everton vs Watford TIPS

Everton’s rollercoaster of a season continued in midweek as they were held to a draw by a determined looking Newcastle outfit at Goodison Park, but there’s no denying that the fans are looking much happier now than they were at the end of last season under Sam Allardyce.
Admittedly, Marco Silva’s reign hasn’t been without it’s teething problems. The Toffees possibly have the best squad outside of the Premier League Big Six, but they only managed to win 1 of their opening 6 league games, despite having a very favourable fixture list.
Fortunately for the home fans, Everton’s injury crisis eased off and Silva began to show his worth at the helm. They have lost just 2 of their last 9 Premier League outings and have won 5 times in this period. This takes them up to 6th in the table, and no team outside of the top 6 has lost fewer times than them this season.
Watford’s season has almost been the reverse of Everton’s so far. The Hornets started off very strongly with 4 consecutive wins in the Premier League, but as is often the case with them, they soon dropped off the boil and now find themselves in a bit of bother.
Their 2-1 loss at home to Manchester City in midweek made it 2 wins, 2 draws, and 7 defeats from their last 11 league outings, and it’s dropped them down into the bottom half of the table for the first time this season.
Watford have now lost 4 of their last 5 league games, and they’re going up against an Everton side who they have really struggled against in the past. In fact, Watford have never won away from home against Everton, losing 11 of their 12 visits to them and drawing the remaining game.
The odds are stacking up in the Toffees’ favour here. They have lost just 1 home game all season in the league and are unbeaten at Goodison Park since the middle of September. 4 of the 5 matches there since then have ended in victory, and despite the doubts over Marco Silva’s defensive astuteness they have even managed to keep a clean sheet in 3 of these games.
We think backing an Everton win here looks fantastic value for money, and a 2-0 correct score predictions looks good too. We’re also opting for Richarlison to find the net. The Brazilian has scored 7 goals in his 13 league appearances for Everton this season, including 4 in 6 at Goodison Park. The most recent of these was against Newcastle on Wednesday, and with him set to return to a central position on Monday, we like the look of him for our anytime goalscorer predictions.

REASON Newcastle vs Wolverhampton TIPS

Midweek saw Newcastle manage to partially recover from their slump back to losing ways last weekend. They went into an away game against Everton as underdogs following their 3-0 hammering at home to West Ham, but an early Salomon Rondon goal helped them get a point from Goodison Park.
The Magpies’ recent resurgence, which followed a dreadful 10 game winless start to the Premier League season, has pushed them out of harm’s way for the time being. With 3 wins from their last 5 league games they sit up in 14th position, although the 4 point gap between them and the drop zone is anything but a comfortable one.
Wolves are doing significantly better than their hosts, and their midweek successes will have the Molineux faithful back in high spirits. They came from a goal behind to beat Chelsea at home on Wednesday, a welcome and unexpected return to winning ways after their 6 game slump.
The visitors had already put themselves in a solid position thanks to their start to the campaign, but losing 5 and drawing 1 in a run of 6 matches was always bound to have an effect on confidence. Now, with a win under their belts and 10 points between them and the bottom 3, spirits will be high in Nuno Espirito Santo’s camp.
Wolves have actually performed incredibly well against the top teams in the Premier League this season, but it’s against the similar stature sides that they slip up, so this game is far from a foregone conclusion.
All things considered, this looks a very evenly contested match given the form of both sides. Newcastle have seen 4 of their league games this season end as draws, with Wolves holding the exact same record. Additionally, 4 of the 6 Premier League meetings between Newcastle and Wolves have ended all square, and with Wolves winless in 3 away games we like the look of a Draw here along with a 4th goalless affair for Newcastle.

REASON AFC Bournemouth vs Liverpool TIPS

Bournemouth managed to put a halt to their recent downturn in form in midweek when they beat the struggling Huddersfield 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium, but even with them losing their previous 4 matches The Cherries are still looking like they’re in for a fantastic season.
They sit all the way up in 7th position, only behind Everton on goal difference and even outperforming Manchester United. Their recent defeats have shown a certain vulnerability to them, but there’s no denying how impressive they have been this season.
Eddie Howe’s men have won 7 of their 15 league games so far this season and scored a very impressive 25 goals, but their performances against the bigger sides in the league are where they fall short on occasion. They have lost all 4 of their meetings with the Premier League Big Six so far this season, so they might not have high hopes going into this game.
Liverpool survived an unlikely scare in midweek as they were forced to come from behind against a Burnley side in torrid form, but they showed a grit that has been absent in previous seasons to turn that game around and win 3-1.
This allowed them to keep the pace with Manchester City, with the reigning champions remaining a mere 2 points ahead of them and the gap between the top 2 and the rest of the table opening up considerably. Liverpool are still unbeaten in the Premier League this season, and they will be hoping to remain so ahead of their huge derby with the underperforming Manchester United next weekend.
Something we can expect from most Bournemouth matches is a glut of goals. The hosts have seen a massive 47 goals in their 15 games so far, and all but 3 of them have seen 3 goals or more in total. Each of their last 6 games have been high scoring affairs, and they will certainly fancy their chances of finding the net against Liverpool.
Unfortunately, their defence isn’t up to scratch. They have shipped 22 goals this term, and we think Liverpool have the confidence to take all 3 points here. We’re backing a Liverpool Win and Over 2.5 Goals along with a 2-1 correct score predictions.

REASON Feyenoord vs VVV TIPS

Feyenoord ended PSV’s 100% run in the Eredivisie last weekend and reduced the gap between Ajax and the league leaders to just two points. On Thursday night Feyenoord are once again at home in the Eredivisie where they will face seventh placed VVV. The visitors were convincingly beaten 4-1 by high flying Heracles on Sunday and their goal difference of -1 is now the worst in the top eight. Four places and ten points separate the two clubs heading into their midweek clash and the bookmakers are backing Feyenoord to pick up all three points in this one.
Feyenoord were the underdogs in their own backyard on Sunday when they played host to table toppers PSV. The visitors went into the game having won all of their thirteen Eredivisie games this season, and while Feyenoord sat thirteen points behind their guests they had beaten PSV in the Super Cup and went into the game with a lead in the head to head record between the two clubs.
An excellent first half performance by Feyenoord saw the home side leading at the break, with Danish striker Jørgensen breaking the deadlock in the twenty-eighth minute after good work from Berghuis. Just five minutes after going in front Feyenoord doubled their advantage through Larsson, who scored his first league goal of the campaign. Jørgensen had to be replaced just before the half time whistle and is now a doubt to feature for Feyenoord on Thursday, and the injury had an effect on the hosts second half performance.
PSV came back into the match during the second half and managed to half the deficit in the seventy-second minute through Bergwijn, but despite the ascendancy being with the visitors Feyenoord managed to hold on to become not only the first team to beat PSV this season, but the first to take any points of the champions elect. Van Persie returned to the hosts squad after injury and would be the prefect replacement for Jørgensen, if the Dane fails to recover from his injury in time to face VVV on Thursday.
Feyenoord’s top scorer this season is the former Arsenal and Manchester United striker van Persie who has scored six times in the Eredivisie so far, while teammate Toornstra has chipped in with four goals and Berghuis has managed three. VVV’s top scorer Mlapa sits on five Eredivisie goals for the campaign, and heads into Thursday’s game in great form for the visitors with five goals in his last five appearances in the league.
An early goal from Adrián Dalmau saw VVV behind at the break in their trip to Almelo on Sunday, and things got worse for the visitors in the second half when Duarte doubled Heracles’ lead in the forty-ninth minute. The next goal of the game would be crucial to the end result, and when Peterson ended his goal drought by converting a fifty-fifth minute penalty for Heracles there was no way back for VVV. Röseler scored a consolation goal for the visitors in the sixty-fifth minute, but Heracles responded with Duarte’s second goal of the match four minutes later to help wrap up an impressive 4-1 win.
VVV went into their game against Heracles as the clear form favourites, but were completely outplayed with just 38% of the overall possession, one corner to the hosts fourteen, and just six shots during the ninety minute compared to the twenty that Heracles produced. Its hard to imagine anything but a Feyenoord win on Thursday when looking at where each team stands in the table and their results heading into the match, but the head to head record between the pair is very close and VVV are a side that Feyenoord have always find to be tricky.
We’re confident that Feyenoord will win to nil on Thursday, and have backed the final scoreline to read 2-0. Feyenoord have won two of the last three meetings between the pair, and the hosts have kept three clean sheets in their last six matches heading into Thursday’s game. VVV have only won one of their last five games and have failed to keep a single clean sheet during that period, and the visitors have lost their last two away games against AZ Alkmaar in the KNVB Beker and Heracles in the Eredivisie.

REASON Fulham vs Leicester City TIPS

Claudio Ranieri’s first month in charge of this Fulham side is serving as a trip down memory lane. After winning his first match in charge against Southampton he paid a visit to his former club Chelsea on Sunday, losing that game 2-0. Now he hosts Leicester, a club where he will always be lauded as the hero that guided them to the most unlikely Premier League triumph in history.
The differences between the Leicester side that defied the 5000/1 odds to lift the Premier League trophy and this current Fulham side are startling. Where Leicester’s crop of budget players succeeded, Fulham’s expensively assembled team is in danger of completely failing in their return to the top flight.
The Cottagers have now won 2, drawn 2, and lost 10 of their 14 Premier League games, leaving them rock bottom of the table with a 2 point gap between them and safety. They have conceded an enormous 35 goals so far this season, and even under the new management of Ranieri they have still shipped 4 goals in 2 games.
Leicester are pretty much performing as expected this season. Their Premier League triumph and the money and prestige that came with it have almost cemented them into the upper mid-table section of the Premier League, and after 14 games they find themselves in a respectable 8th place in the table.
The weekend saw The Foxes beat Watford 2-0 at the King Power Stadium, extending their unbeaten run to 5 Premier League games and bringing them to within a single point of Manchester United above them.
Away from home they have lost 3 times this season, but it’s important to remember that these defeats came against Manchester United, Arsenal, and the in form Bournemouth. Victories against Cardiff, Newcastle, and Southampton show that they certainly have what it takes to pick up points away from the King Power Stadium.
Fulham, meanwhile, have lost 3 of their 6 home matches this season and have only beaten Southampton and Burnley, who happen to be the 2 teams also occupying the relegation spots with them. New manager or not, Fulham have a lot of work to try and get back on track and we’re expecting a strong showing from the visiting side. Backing a Leicester Win here looks the best option, along with a 2-1 correct score predictions.

REASON West Ham United vs Cardiff TIPS

A comfortable victory for West Ham at the weekend moved them clear of the drop zone, and they are aiming to keep climbing the table with another win this week. The Hammers host Cardiff on Tuesday night, continuing a crucial run for the club. Their weekend victory at Newcastle was the start of a stretch where they face six of the seven sides below them, something they need to make the most of.
The hosts are up to 13th in the table following their 3-0 hammering of Newcastle, and that success seems like the spark which could send them into the top half. They are coming off the back of a 4-0 drubbing by Man City in their last home game, but they should make the most of a much more straightforward task in midweek. The bookies have made West Ham favourites to follow up their weekend win.
Cardiff are fresh from a home win over Wolves. That success took them out of the bottom three, and Neil Warnock’s side are making a fight of this campaign. It was set to be a tough campaign for the Welsh side, who looked set for a speedy return to the Championship. They’re making a fight of things in the top flight, but will they be able to cause problems for the Hammers this week?
The Welsh side have enjoyed most of their points at home this term, as one of the few sides in the league who have failed to win on the road. They have lost five of six trips ahead of this week’s clash. No side in the league has picked up fewer points on their travels this season, while they’ve secured a huge 91% of their points so far at home.
Cardiff have scored just 15% of their goals so far on the road, having failed to score in 67% of their away matches. The Welsh side are unsurprisingly outsiders following their torrid run on the road. Another factor working against the visitors is their record against West Ham of late. They’ve lost their previous six meetings with the Hammers, and they come into this one having lost three straight trips to East London. The hosts should add to that here, and we think it’s worth backing them to add to Cardiff’s away woes. Given how the Welsh side are struggling in front of goal, we’re also going for a 2-0 win for the Hammers.

REASON West Bromwich Albion vs Brentford TIPS

After October’s blip, West Brom were in danger of falling behind in the title race, though with three wins in their last three matches, Darren Moore’s men have bounced right back into contention. Their attacking football continues to pay dividends both in terms of points and goals. With momentum steadily building, Monday’s hosts should fancy themselves to get the better of a Brentford side that is seemingly on the decline.
It would have been easy for West Brom to fold under the weight of expectation this season, after all, plenty of relegated teams have failed to get anywhere near promotion in the campaign directly after the dropping out of the top flight, but the Baggies have stuck to their task well and currently making an excellent fist of challenging for one of top two spots.
Recent performances have been strong, so Darren Moore’s men ought to come into this match with confidence, especially since they’ve favoured playing in front of their own fans this season. At the Hawthorns, West Brom have won six out of nine, while the football that they’ve played has been positive; they’ve got on the front foot, have been very creative and have found the net with impressive regularity. Nine home games have yielded a staggering 26 goals for the Baggies, who’re also averaging an eye-opening 2.44 expected goals on their own patch.
Brentford are also a good side, a side that likes to play attacking football and a side that often does well as a result. However, the Bees have struggled to put their best foot forward of late. Monday’s visitors have lost each of their last three league games, and in each of those games, their defensive limitations have well and truly been exposed.
Moreover, as good as Brentford can be going forward, they’ve struggled to get going on the road at times, while their overall defensive efforts when playing away from the comforts of home don’t exactly suggest that they’ll have what it takes to cope with a West Brom forward line that can be very overpowering. The Bees have kept a clean sheet in none of their nine away games this season, while they’re giving up 1.6 expected goals on average. The fact that they’re averaging just 1.36 at the other end doesn’t exactly bode well either.
Against a wounded animal, this is a big opportunity for West Brom to keep moving in the right direction, and in all honesty, they look good at the prices. On their own patch, where they really have suffocated teams at times and where they have an average expected goal difference of +1.33, against a visiting team that boasts an average expected goal difference of -0.24 on the road, the Baggies are backed to do the business.

REASON Manchester Chelsea vs Fulham TIPS

Chelsea unsurprisingly managed to seal the top spot in their Europa League group with a game to spare in midweek, walking over PAOK in a 4-0 win at Stamford Bridge and allowing them to concentrate on the busy month of domestic football ahead.
First up is a Fulham side who have been buoyed by the arrival of new manager Claudio Ranieri, and the mythical New Manager Effect was in full flow last weekend as they beat Southampton in a 3-2 thriller at Craven Cottage.
However, a trip to Stamford Bridge is likely to be a much tougher test of their confidence. The Blues 3-1 loss at Spurs last weekend was their first defeat of the Premier League season, and while it did follow a disappointing goalless draw against Everton, Maurizio Sarri’s men have still won 8 of their 13 league outings this season.
Fulham, on the other hand, have lost 9 of their 13 games since returning to the top flight, winning just twice. They have the worst defensive record in the league with 33 goals conceded in this period, and even Ranieri could not stem that flow last weekend as they conceded 2 goals at home to a goal-shy Southampton side.
Away from home they have drawn once and lost the remaining 6 league matches, and the 18 goals they have conceded in these game works out at 2.57 goals per game. Things have been even worse for them when facing the Premier League’s traditional Big Six, with them shipping 3.25 goals per game in these 4 encounters.
All this points towards a high scoring Chelsea win on Sunday. The Cottagers have seen at least 4 goals scored in 6 of their 13 games so far this season, and 4 of Chelsea’s 7 home games have seen more than 3 goals netted. With Fulham’s newfound attacking confidence and their abysmal defence still looking decidedly leaky, we think a Chelsea Win and Over 3.5 Goals bet looks a great option for Sunday along with a 4-1 correct score predictions.

REASON Manchester City vs AFC Bournemouth TIPS

Manchester City sealed their place in the Champions League knockout stages in midweek, but it was far from straightforward to do so against a Lyon side who seem to have the measure of Pep Guardiola’s men. The French underdogs managed to beat The Citizens at the Etihad earlier this season and looked like they could do the same on Tuesday when they took the lead, but Sergio Aguero equalised for the visitors to claim the point they needed.
The top spot isn’t quite sealed yet, but a point in the final group match would get them that prize and they can almost entirely focus on the Premier League for the next couple of months.
At times this season Manchester City have looked like they aren’t quite at the same level we saw last season, but recently they have really managed to hit their stride and once again they look utterly dominant in every game they play. Last weekend’s 4-0 thrashing of West Ham made it 5 wins on the bounce, and they have scored a massive 19 goals in that run.
Bournemouth are having an excellent season too, of course, but not many of the travelling Cherries fans will be expecting much in the way of points from this game. They lost 2-1 at Arsenal last weekend to make it a trio of successive defeats, although their 8th place standing in the Premier League table hints at just how good they have been in the early stages of this campaign.
The Cherries’ main strength this season has been their attacking prowess. They have scored 22 goals in their 13 games so far, which is more than any side outside the top 5. They have failed to score in only 3 of these 13 matches, although to balance things out they have conceded in all but 3 of them too.
Getting a goal against the joint best defence in the Premier League might seem a tall order, but Guardiola’s men actually seem worse defensively at the Etihad than they do when on the road. 4 of the 5 goals they have conceded in the league this season have come on home soil, with them keeping a clean sheet in under half of their matches.
This includes conceding against the likes of Huddersfield, Newcastle, and Southampton, so against the attack minded Bournemouth, they could be vulnerable. We think the odds for Both Teams to Score looks great value here, so we’re backing that alongside a 3-1 win for the Citizens.
